Mega Blood Donation Camp

A mega blood donation camp was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of P.A. College of Pharmacy, Mangalore, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society Blood Center, Mangalore, at the PACE campus today. The event, held in memory of the late Dr. P.A. Ibrahim Haji, witnessed active participation from students and staff, showcasing their commitment to humanitarian service.

The program was inaugurated by the esteemed chief guest, Dr. Sukesh, Medical Officer of the Indian Red Cross Society Blood Center, Mangalore. In his insightful address, Dr. Sukesh emphasized the importance and benefits of blood donation, highlighting its critical role in saving lives. Dr. Rameez M.K., Principal of P.A. College of Engineering, also addressed the gathering, encouraging students to actively participate in such noble causes.

Dr. Saleemulla Khan, Principal of P.A. College of Pharmacy, presided over the event and inspired the audience with his motivational words. Dr. Muhammad Mubeen, NSS Coordinator of P.A. College of Pharmacy, extended a warm welcome to the guests and participants, setting a positive tone for the program. Prominent dignitaries gracing the occasion as guests of honor included Mr. Praveen Kumar, District Coordinator of the Indian Red Cross Society; Mr. Abbas Uchil, former Marketing Manager of Ecolab, KSA; Mr. Sharfuddin P.K., AGM of PAET; and Prof. K.P. Soofi, Principal of P.A. Polytechnic. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Soureen, while Ms. Shravya efficiently anchored the proceedings as the master of ceremonies. Arsalan led the gathering in prayer at the beginning of the program.

The blood donation drive received an overwhelming response, with a significant number of volunteers stepping forward to contribute to this life-saving cause. A remarkable total of 161 units of blood was collected during the camp, marking a noteworthy contribution to the community's healthcare needs.

This event served as a befitting tribute to the philanthropic legacy of Dr. P.A. Ibrahim Haji, inspiring all present to continue his mission of service to humanity.
